Varietal music is defined as playing songs from four or more distinct programming formats. Music tracks include Blues, Old School Funk, Soul/R&B, Smooth Jazz, Gospel, Reggae, Rhythmic, Motown Classic Gold Love Songs/Ballads, mixed with Today's Top Hits. What you won't hear is Hard Core Rap and Hip Hop that degrades, disrespects, or denigrates women or our people.

Over 8,000 Song Releases in our catalog. We take song requests. If we don't have it, we'll try to find it. If we're successful, we'll let you know with an on-air shout-out, text, or email. Just make sure we have your current contact information.

Radio's refusal to recognize Black America is having a direct effect on the industry. About 92% of Black consumers aged 12 years and older listen to radio each week at home, at work, on the phone, in the car and elsewhere. Radio is the "go-to" medium for Black America. It matters not the age, time of day, or where you live or listen to radio, it has become the platform for Black audiences. Internet radio was quick to recognize this, but slow to take advantage of the power it holds.
